How I Support Educators & Caregivers
As a Learning Behavior Specialist and certified Handwriting Without Tears® practitioner, I partner with educators and caregivers to:
Assess & Support: Identify children who need extra help with fine motor skills, pencil grip, or early letter formation through a formal assessment. From here we can tailor the child’s individualized supports.
Enrich Classrooms: Provide easy-to-use tools for teachers and caregivers to support for daily handwriting routines.
Small Group or 1:1 Sessions: Offer targeted handwriting sessions to boost confidence and success.
Parent Engagement: Provide resources and tips for families to continue skill-building at home.

How HWT Supports Early Literacy
Handwriting Without Tears® (HWT) goes beyond handwriting—it's a foundation for early literacy. By teaching children to form letters through fun, multisensory activities, HWT reinforces letter recognition and sound-symbol connections, which are key to learning to read. The program also builds fine motor strength, proper pencil grip, and spatial awareness, helping children write letters and words with confidence. When children can write with ease, they can focus more on expressing ideas, developing vocabulary, and building a love of reading and writing.
